Hooks into NIMY-0031 monitor?

Hi,

I'm hacking some code for loading into my NIMY-0031 board and it uses the UART. I've got some info about hooks into
the NIMY-0031 monitor for output (string and single character), and I've gotten that to work, but I don't see anything about hooks for character/string *input*. Are there such hooks or do I need
to create my own and include in my code?
