I've just started using my Hexapod EH3R with your Servopod. The serovpod comes alive and says it's version IsoMax 0.82. It appears that contrary to the literature I downloaded of this site (.pdf files for servopod) I need to type the grey lines in, and that means I have an older version of firmware. Correct?

How do I upgrade.flash new firmware into the servopod, can I and how?

No, .82 is the latest we've released. You're up to date.

In the future, you can either:

1) Send it back for an upgrade, or,

2) Buy a JTAG cable, sign a license agreement, and download it yourself.

As for the gray text... the software development moved faster than the documentation got updated. So the softare is newer than the manual.

BTW, keep me posted on your progress. I wrote the code for the EHR3 along with Mike Keesling, and I am occassionally still working on updates to it. Let me know if I can help.

with the ehr3psx1.txt program. It does not seem to work for me. I get the pronpt "STAND UNTIL KEY PRESSED" when I hit any key on the terminal it gives me an "IsoMax V0.82" prompt ...

What am I doing wrong here?

I think he is using the code right off Lynxmotion site at http://www.lynxmotion.com/images/files/eh3r01.txt

Hummm... maybe not. That code doesn't seem to have the "STAND UNTIL KEY PRESSED" code in it.

So we must have sent him later code.

I just opened my latestest, and it has a different message. "STAND UNTIL GAIT SELECTED AND MOVEMENT COMMANDED"

So for the good news. Apparently, the code is working up to the point of autostarting and putting out the message. When you release the code from an autostart, it is not unusual to have the ""IsoMax V0.82" prompt", so maybe the code is working, installed and running in the background, and just needs to be commanded to go.

Tell us about your code, did we send it to you, when, etc.?

I pulled the file right off Lynxmotion site. The only difference is that I'm using a regular PS2 Wired controller (not the MadKatz Wireless) and I'm wondering if thats why it's not working. The site indicates a possible terminal mode 'direct' from the pc in the future, any date or if ever?

Here's the prompt 'cut and paste' from the NMITerm.
WALKER CODE EH-3R
STAND UNTIL KEY PRESSED

you can get the file off Lynxmotion site, assembly instructions :

thufer2002, Thanks for the link.

Both programs eh3ipsx1.txt and eh3rpsx1.txt on this page,
http://www.lynxmotion.com/images/html/build060.htm
are seem to work normally on startup. The inline eh3ipsx1.txt program provides the serial commands as instructed on step 4, where the round eh3rpsx1.txt program seem to be controlled by the joystick only. I do not know if the standard wire joystick is compatible or not. I do not have the toys to play with but I hope Randy or Jim can tell you more about this.
