Hi,
The servopod in our robotics lab is not working. When we connect it to USB port, the 3 leds are not turning ON. The 3.3V voltage regulator ( the one next to USB port) is getting very hot ( it can burn the finger after 2-3 minutes of connecting to usb port ).
When servopod is connected to USB port,
The voltage across pin 1 and 2 of 3.3v regulator is 3.8V.
The voltage across pin 3 and 2 of 3.3V regulator is 1.4V.
The voltage across pin 1 and 2 of 5V regulator is 3.2V
The voltage across pin 3 and 2 of 5V regulator is 3.7V
I suspect something has gone wrong with the voltage regulator.

Can you please let us know what might have gone wrong? How can we get the servopod repaired? What might be the cause of this malfunctioning? Thanks. Waiting for ur guidance.

Regards

Based on the output voltage of the 3.3V regulator you posted, i assumed anything can go wrong, from bad regulator to dead processor onboard. The causes in this case is most likely involved with power handling such as controller power shorted out somewhere onboard or other conducted material, overload, RC motor power reversed polarity, or connected on the wrong connector for motor power input, etc....
