Hello,
I recently pruchased a PlugaPodS, XBee-Adaptor Board, XBee-Pro RF module and Xbee dongle. I want to use the Xbee modules also as a recplacement for a RS232 cable for other than PlugApod projects. Speed will be around 115K. So I have a few questions regarding the XBee adaptor board

1. Does anyone have a schematic of the board because I would like to know which pins to use.
2. Does the XBee adaptor board contain a RS232 level shifter so I can use it as an RS232 replacement
3. What other items do I need to consider ?

Any help is appreciated

Ron

The current production batch of XBee Adaptor Board does not have RS-232 level shifter onboard. The serial signals of the XBee radio module currently connects direct on PlugaPod/S serial TTL pins through the adaptor board location J3. The schematics are not available at the moment. Below are the interface signals require for the XBee Adaptor Board.

Connector J3
Pin 1, Rxd (TTL)
--- 2, Ground
--- 3, Txd (TTL)

Connector J1
Pin 2, Vin
--- 4, Ground
--- 7, Ground
--- 8, +5V (optional power input pin)

Connector J5
Pin 1, +3.3V (optional power input pin)
--- 4, Ground
