This forum is aimed at discussing NMI's real time operating system called MaxRTOS. It is written in C and can be compiled with the ImageCraft compiler to create a small compact real time kernel capable of providing essential system services and allowing the application to run multiple threads in parallel.<br>The merits of MaxRTOS include:<br> o low overhead<br> o small<br> o easily understood and adaptable<br> o good for soft or hard real time<br> o all written in C for portability<p>The programming paradigm is based on queues and machines.
