Steps to get SmallC up and running?

I'd like to get SmallC going on my Isopod, but I can't find any resources with any basic instructions on what's necessary to set everything up. Can anybody point me to such a resource or give me some quick advice on how it's done? I'm sure a lot of other people could benefit from it, too...

For what it's worth, I've got a V1 isopod, and I'm running windows XP.

Ahah, i just read the 'DOS notes'... i must have seen them before, but I guess I figured there had to be more to it than that!

So there isn't any other setup of the DSP that has to take place - just compile, assembly, and dump?

The SmallC Srecord file can be loaded to the IsoPod's flash memory via Serial interface or JTAG interface.

JTAG interface requires a <A href="http://www.newmicros.com/cgi-bin/store/order.cgi?form=prod_detail&part=JTAG-Cable-10P&id=5SGaUSMo7MwxGspVk0o3ie2JFD3r0J0d">
JTAG-CABLE-10P</A> for IsoPod. Jtag loader software is provided on the web site that Pete Gray posted on the previous post.

Serial Interface requires serial bootloader preloaded. This also requires a JTAG-CABLE-10P. For other NMI's DSP products, such as NMIN-0803-MINI or H3 or H6 are preloaded with the serial bootloader at the manufacture since the IsoMax language is not yet released for these system, but it will soon.

You will overwrite the IsoMax that preloaded in your IsoPod when you load the SmallC Srecord. So if you want to reload the IsoMax back, You must sign up for the IsoMax license agreement in order to receive a IsoMax Srecord file sends by email or diskette. The IsoMax license Agreement form can be downloaded here,
