The ServoPod is better than Isopod.
Does ServoPdo has all the abilities (functions) that Isopod has? I used Isopod before, but I want to change it to ServoPod when it's available.

ServoPod(tm) has all the features that IsoPod(tm) Has. With a bigger proccessor, DSP56F807 ServoPod(tm) has twice the Memories (~64Kx16) and twice the A/D channels (16-ch ) that IsoPod has. Also there are connectors that supports 26 RC-Servos direct plug-in onboard. Board size: 2.3" x 3.0"

Expecting production date is sometimes the end of April or early May 2003.

It appears the IsoPodX and ServoPod are identical boards, with the exception of different DSPs. The IsopodX has the 805 and the ServoPod has the 807, so the ServoPod automatically has more memory and more A/D inputs.

Are there any other differences?

807 has 16 ch of A/D. The 805 has only 8.

807 has double the flash. X has RAM instead of Flash.

That's about it.

Can you explain this on the IsoPOD-X webpage, its somewhat confusing. I assume this is in addition to the on-chip RAM and flash in the 805. But do you get 2 options for external RAM/Flash when you order the IsoPod-X?

Yes! These are software configurations,

- 64Kx16 Program Ram & 64Kx16 Data Ram -- this configuration is useful for Codewarrior, or Small C, or thirdparty software debug and development in ram. Except IsoMax is not supported.

or,

- 32Kx16 Program Flash + 32Kx16 Program Ram & 64Kx16 Data Ram --- Isomax is supported for this configuration.
