Hello,
As per one of my other posts, I've returned the signed license agreement to you guys via email. I work with Mike Bailey from UAV Vision in Australia and they have purchased the JTAG cable some time ago.
Based on your post should I have received an email with the upgrade to Isomax and instructions on how to upgrade? I'm wanting the 0.86 version so I can use the RX/TX buffering on PE6 & 7

I've emailed through this again to both email addresses.
I don't have instructions on how to pay the $20 it says it requires. I can give credit card, ETF, or whatever... but i really need to upgrade my code asap as I already needed to have this software going for a client. Would be good if you could send me the upgrade stuff whilst the payments being processed otherwise i'm probably not going to be able to do anything over the weekend, and that would be v.bad....

by the way, I work for mbailey from UAV Vision in Australia, and we've bought quite a bit of stuff off you guys, 20 plug-a-pods, etc, etc... so it would be good to get this upgrade stuff quickly.... We're definatley good for the $20 :-p

I got all the stuff (the files rqd for the upgrade and the jtag cable). thanks.
I'm trying to upgrade from v0.82 to v0.86
My problem is I can't get it to update using the jtag cable and software provided.
I've gone through all the forum posts relating to this and I think i've done everything obvious. I'll quickly go through what I've done.
i'm using a plugapod(PAP) and the plugapod development board to power the plugapod. I tried the trick of inserting header pins into J2 on the PAP and holding it there with no luck, so I bit the bullet and just soldered the headers in (so the connections there should be good).
I went through and tried running the flash over jtag program with the following syntax:
flash_over_jtag flash803.cfg v086-4.S
I had to copy the "v086-4.S" file into the same directory as the exe as the files I was sent had this in the root directory.
Note that in the README attached with the flash program, it said to run the syntax:
flash_over_jtag flash803.cfg V086-4.S
which I believe is incorrect as the "V" in "V086-4.S" should be lowercase ("v") as the .S file provided had a lowercase "v".
Anyway, I ran the syntax as I've described (which should be correct) with the following scenerios:
1) jtag cable not plugged into computer
2) jtag in computer only
3) jtag cable plugged into PAP (no power)
4) jtag cable plugged into PAP (powered)
All failed. I tried to run the remove driver exe. This did remove the driver, as the next time I ran the flash command, it took some time for the driver to reinstall, but then the flash failied the same as before.
The outputs I got for each test above were:
1) command converter not connected..... (as expected)
2) .... port driver started...

I am at a loss at what to do next. I really need this sorted as I needed that rx/tx buffering on PE6&7 which I'd planned to get going tonight as I thought this would just work.... :( damn hardware problems!!
I don't suppose by chance there's a work around to this while we're sorting out this problem, such as some ISOMAX code I can paste in to my code to get the PE6&7 ports doing software buffering? ..just thought I'd ask.

Well, the most common problem to use the Flash_over_Jatg software is described on chapter 3 of the Flash_over_Jtag.pdf document . This is not only happens on Win NT, Win2000, but XP and Vista as well. The problem is the operating systems prevent applications from accessing the hardware of the host computer directly. Even with the ZLport driver provided, sometimes i still have to use the driver remove utility, and reboot the PC several times before i got it to work correctly. This only happens from PC to PC and on the very first time when you run this software on your PC. There is nothing special required on the Plug-A-Pod hardware other than power.
