Hi,
I just got a Servopod and I'm trying to use a usb-rs232 converter to connect to my laptop. However when I run the NMIterm, IsoMax v0.82 just keeps repeating on the screen and I am unable to enter any commands. Thanks for help in advance.

I think your laptop USB port does not put out enough voltage to power the servoPod. To verify this, please use the external power 6-9VDC connects to PJ1 jack and Switch the SW1 to ON position. Or you can try it on difference PC, or laptop and keep us posted.

Thanks for the quick reply. I already had connected the servopod to the external power supply via the power jack. It was of a 7.4 dc voltage. I tried re installing NMIterm, setting the baud rate of the NMI side as well as the Laptop side and the "IsoMax v0.82" just keeps on repeating on the NMI screen. I don't have another PC to try out the Servopod now but I'll try it tomorrow. Do you have any other suggestions at the moment? Thanks for the help in advance

At first I thought you have a ServoPod-USB. Instead you use a USB-RS232 converter. So the laptop power isn't the problem here. Sorry for the confusion.
Can your 7.4Vdc supply put out atleast 300mA or higher ?
Please use voltage meter to check out the 5V and also 3.3V rails besure you have proper voltages for powering.

I tried changing my power supply and it worked. The adaptor could not provide me with the current needed. Thanks for the help and the fast replies.
