i have run into a problem. i am making a life-sized einstein mannequin's eyes follow a moving person. i am using the 68HC12 and a mini ssc2 to control the servo motors. i am having a problem interfacing the 68hc12 to the ssc2. i'm not sure how familiar you are with the ssc2, but you send it 3 bytes via the serial port, and the servo moves to the correct position. i have the mini ssc2 working and the motor hooked up correct, but i can not get the 68CH12 to send the 3 bytes with correct timing. i have the ssc2 set at 9600 bps and the 68hc12 doesn't have the capability through the spi (serial peripheral interface) to run at that rate (at least not that i am aware of). i could use the 9-pin serial port on the 68hc12, but the problem is that it is already hooked up to the pc where i download and execute my programs. i have absolutely no clue what to do now. do you know where i could find some good information on how to use the ssc2 with the 68hc12? do you know also where i could find some stuff on how to control servos without the ssc2 only using the 68hc12? maybe you know off hand what i could try. i would really appreciate some feedback on this one. this project is due in 2 weeks. thanks so much for the help.
Drue

----------
Drue Smallwood
