Forth Help

I am taking a computer interfacing course here at the UofS. I know little about computers, codes etc.. and my Prof has not taught this class in 10 years. We have a manual (Microcomputer/controller interfacing using forth, by Denise Stilling) for a new micros F68hc11 single based board.

My prof is extremely disorginized and unprepared. We have no solution set to the manual, and few resources.

Is ther any very simple examples for microcontollers etc for a computer illiterate student?

Perhaps a similar course offered at the UofA would be helpful. It was on computer interfacing and used the HC12 board. The labs have a bunch of code which can serve as examples. The URL is:
