Hi

I recently purchased the RF Xbee module. I have been trying to interface it with my Servopod-USB and Isopod to no avail. Basically I am trying to program the servopod wirelessly(or atleast send it commands wirelessly).

As an initial attempt, I tried to connect Dout and Din to the SIN and SOUT pins respectively of the Servopod-USB (on J1 ) in an attempt to program the controller. This failed.

When this did not work, I connected the module directly to the SCI1 pins ( pin 7 and 9 on J2) to check if there were any characters being received on NMITerm. This also did not work .
Any ideas to get me out of this mess will be highly appreciated !

Thanks

Arpit

Since you did not mention the XBee adapter, i assumed you tried to connect the signals from pin 2 & 3 of the XBee RF module to servoPod J1 , or J2 directly. If this is true, your XBee module may be fried by now. Because the XBee is 3.3V module where ServoPod J1, SIN & SOUT are RS-232 level, including J2 pin 7 & 9. That is why we have the XBee adapters, and the XBee Carriers to support different type of signal interface. See this product link for more info,

you need this adapter,
