ARM & JTAG

Hi. I am new to ARMs and want to get one.
Should I get a JTAG cable, and if so,
do you sell one for the PlugAnARM?

I want to use GCC, maybe some Assembler later.

Hi Don, we don't have a JTAG for ARM. Instead we use Flash Magic and the serial boot loader. Works really well to load code. Just take moments to load a program. So you will be able to load code without a JTAG. Debugging is not as easy, but certainly doable.

Hi. Is flash magic the lpc2000 flash utility from Philips?

Yes, it is the updated version that does more chips than the original. I'm not sure it is still owned by Phillips. But yes, it is a replacement for the earlier one they first distributed.
