View Full Version : How to connect a JTAG cable to PlugaPod card
I have a problem with connecting the JTAG cable to the PlugaPod card. I can't find any specifications on how to connect it and where to connect it on the card? There is no mark on the cable that indicates which pin on the contact that should have 5 V and so on..

J2 is the JTAG cable. If you look very closely at J2, you will see it has a square pad on one of the pins. That is pin 1.
We push double male headers into this J2, relying on interference to make electrical contact, and our JTAG cable to access by JTAG. We don't install the headers, because it would make these boards taller than necessary for those who don't need the JTAG in production.
The JTAG cable usually has a color coded wire on one side that indicates which end pin 1 is on. Also, on the female connector, there is an "arrow", or V-mark, raised in the plastic body of the connector over the Pin 1 pin.
