Hi,
I would like to know how to change the default baudrate into IsoMax (currently V0.6).

I need it to start @ 38400 (the higher the better, up to 920Kbaud), since I have to fix the speed on the Bluetooth adapter, cannot switch back and forth between 9600 and 38400.

I have already signed IsoMax license, so a modified image is okay. Better yet, a way to change the current IsoMax image (without JTAG) without flashing the whole thing.

Thanks in advance,

Giuseppe Marullo

The only option right now is flashing the whole thing, which is required a Jtag cable. I have an IsoMax srecord V0.6 modified to run at 38,400. If you are interest, please drop me an email at techsupport@newmicros.com

Done!

btw, is there any plan to support higher serial speeds on IsoMax?

Thanks,

Maybe I've mentioned before, we chose 9600 because (believe it or not) there was a time this was pretty much the high end of reliable PC communications, so it became rather a standard for us. Today, higher speeds are common place, and 9600 is a lowest common denominator.

I am open to feedback, is 38,400 more to everyones liking? We could certainly change to it as the default power up rate of the 'Pods, as long as it fit everyones needs, and we didn't leave any applications behind.

Hi Randy,
I need the mod since I got a pretty good bluetooth serial link. I built two dongles that searches each other and auto-negotiate.

Did you get the chance to look at bluestamp? I think it could be a really cool add-on for the pod family.

The only drawback is that you have to specify the speed, they won't adapt. I need both the maximum serial speed available, and I also have a MarkIII, so 38400 seems a reasonably choice to use them without messing up too much, they both uses 38400.

Obviously, since BT supports up to 921Kbaud....but here IsoMax comes into play, maybe now that serial ports are buffered...I would like to have IsoMax @ 115200 ;)

On the other hand, I think 9600 is still a viable standard even today. We use fairly expensive equipment at work, but it still comes into 9600 baud flavor :)

Cheers,
