This Palm-Scope project is NewMicros-inspired! (It started with a letter from Randy 8 years ago.) What more can you want? The 200MHz DSO uses the NM HC11 with Max-Forth and the 2 GHz version the HC912-B32 also with Max-Forth. The idea for the Xilinx CoolRunner interface for the Handspring and all other PDAs and Laptops will work with all your micro offerings. But the specific info for the Handspring/Xilinx Contest is on my web-site <http://www.msmisp.com/futuretest > There is too much writing and diagrams for this forum. --- Harry<p>Edited by: Harry Winter

Recent changes: The complex Xilinx chip is out --- The Springboard interface of the Handspring Visor, (a Palm computer at $149 ) can be handled with the additional I/O pins of the MC68HC912B32 (NMIN-0012). The NMIN-0012 will have the same low power consumption as the HC11 when the Xtal frequency is reduced to 4MHz, and the performance is still better. Components count for the board shown on my web-site has been reduced by 25% at equal performance.

PS. If NewMicros would build and sell this DSO board for $180 would you buy one? Please tell me and NMI!
