Hi guys,
I sent an email to sales and a week later re-sent it with a cc to support.
So far no replies. I am planning to buy another pod or two but first I need an answer to a replacement-part question.
Any sign of life? :-)

Cheers,

Per

Hey! Per! Great to hear from you. Think of you often. Yes, still alive. Forwarded the post to Pam for sales. Don't know what happened to other email, but I'll check into it. Randy

Thanks Randy,
It has been a while as I got side-tracked with some IMAX project stuff.
I now own an IMAX helicopter mount and working on replacing the analog control system with PODS... Much smaller in size....
Made an embarrassing mistake though.. Connected the 2 NMIH50 to my polarity protection diodes without a large capacitor etc... Sharp pops were heard and the 2 TO-220 drivers had a nice little crater.... Ooops and a few words about my oversight...

Cheers,

Per.

Hi Per,

Do you happen to remember what email address you used?

nmisales@newmicros.com
nmipurchasing@newmicros.com

or

nmiproduction@newmicros.com

work. And of course to me personally,

rmd@newmicros.com is the one.

Bad news about the TO220's. Those parts are TLE 5206-2, getting scarce as hen's teeth. We're out and hearing 1yr lead times. We're looking for stock, but the price has quadrupled if you can find them available at all. We're etven working on new H-bridge designs that might work as replacements for the H50's in the interim. So be careful with those puppies.

Yes indeed... :-)
I used the nmisales and support listed on your website. It was emailed from my sympatico.ca email address.
I had an order in with Digikey but their back-order got seriously delayed...again.. so I hoped you guys had a couple of TLEs I could add on to my Pod order.
I really like your unit given its voltage range and size. 36V is my baseline voltage... That is, not including the charging voltage if 3x12V lead acids are used with the charger attached...
A design with a closed top would be great so it is possible to mount the unit on a chassi exposed to the elements.... Perhaps a possibility to connect 2 or more for higher current loads...

Cheers,

Per

Distressing news about email being lost. We must have a "leak". Checking.

We don't have any replacement TLE's in hand. We are negotiating for 100, but at prices that are userious.

The idea of a weather resistant encasement is not something we think about. We're used to the idea our products being used inside other equipment. It's something to consider.

I'll send another email with the topic Lost email...
That way it can function as a test.
Weather resistance... I can always dream... :-)
As for the TLEs, I'll do a bit of searching.
Thanks for letting me know.

Cheers,

Per.
