I copied an appliction into Isopod v0.3. During the process there's some errors. now I want to erase the flash ram, but when I reset the Isopod and type
SCRUB in Maxterm, there's no response. It seems the Isopod doesn't have any response to the Maxterm. how can I do then?

Try this, Unplug the power and the serial cable from the IsoPod for about 10 seconds or so... and plug it back in, if the IsoMax Prompt is responded, type in SCRUB. It will take couple seconds to erase and respond back with IsoMax V0.3 then it will be ready to reload the new program. |

but it still doesn't work. I've tried a lot of times as you said. when I reset the "IsoMax v0.3" will appear in screen. but the Isopod still doesn't response to the SCRUB and all the other commands . And when I type one command and Enter, it will hang and I must reset it.

zhang ruixiang,
I had this happen a couple of times. Sometimes closing and re-opening hyperterm/NMITerm sorts things out, although once I found that I had to power off both the microcontroller *and* the PC in order for things to become stable again. -Pete. |

Another thought (or two)...
After you get the "IsoMax V0.3" message, are you able to enter any commands other than SCRUB ? For example, can you do the "REDLEN OFF" and "REDLED ON" ? Also, did you try COLD and then SCRUB ? Out of curiosity, which OS are you using? Also, have you ever used Codewarrior or any such thing to program this IsoPod? And finally, have you tried using NMITerm or hyperterm? -Pete. |

I've tried
there's no response to any command such as "REDLED OFF". and even I randomly type some letters and Enter it will hang...... I've tried to use NMITERM. Now my os is xp and I tried to use win2000, but get the same result.

In application note: Autostarting an IsoMax Application:
"Bypassing the Autostart(Note: this feature will be added on V0.4 or higher) What if your autostart routine locks up? If you can't access to the IsoMax command interpreter, how do you SCRUB the application and restore the IsoPos to usability? You can bypass the autostart search, and go directly to the IsoMax interpreter........." what does this mean? if it's not v0.4 or higer what can I do?

z_ruixiang,
Try this last attempt before you send the IsoPod back to the manufacture to load the upgrade version. Please email your invoice # or company/purchaser name to nmiproduction@newmicros.com requests for an RMA # to send back for repair/upgrade. Start the IsoPod from fresh, at the IsoMax prompt enters HEX 7E00 EEERASE if it responds with OK then enter SCRUB and give it 3 seconds for scrub time... if it hang before you can enter SCRUB then reset the IsoPod by toggle DTR twice, ALT+T running Maxterm or NMITerm. Now at the IsoMax prompt enters SCRUB again. Hope this last attempt will get you out of the locking up problem. |

NO RESPONSE EITHER:(
thank you for your patient, but it still doesn't work. I must return it the the manufacture to load the upgrade version. I've applied for that through email, then how can I do? Just send it to New Micros? And what is the address and who is receiver? And I want to know the details about the fare. Thank you.
